tra·di·tion
the handing down of
statements, beliefs, legends, customs, information, etc., from generation to
generation, esp. by word of mouth or by practice: a story that has come down to
us by popular tradition.
This forum celebrates the
characters from Jane Austen’s Stories, most especially Pride and Prejudice,
in the tradition in which they were written.
Whether you
were beguiled by the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride & Prejudice
with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle or bewitched, along with Mr. Darcy, in
the 2005 movie starring Matthew Macfadyen and Keira Knightley, we are glad
you have joined the thousands of fans that want to read more about
them.
We welcome those,
too, who seek stories of this time period because you were entranced
by Elizabeth Cleghorn-Gaskell’s North and South which was
made into a BBC production with Richard Armitage or some of Jane’s other
stories - Emma, Sense and Sensibility, Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park
or Persuasion. No matter your incentive for
searching out these stories, we feel your pain. After all,
we are JAFF fanfiction readers too.
